One of Italy's top weathermen on
Tuesday called a weather alert over the northern and central
half of Italy for three days, forecasting heavy rain and
thunderstorms.
In the next few hours the bad weather will rage in Triveneto,
Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, and it will also rain in the rest of
the Center-North, said Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist at
IlMeteo.it.
A further worsening is expected on Wednesday, with the most
intense phenomena expected in the Northwest.
Finally, on Thursday, the heart of the cyclone will arrive with
gale-force winds from North to South and more rain.
The rain will gradually stop on Friday.
A brief respite will follow because between Easter and Easter
Monday more showers are expected, especially in the Northwest,
said Tedici.
