Roberto Cavalli fashion
house announced Wednesday it is cutting 200 out of 672 jobs
worldwide, shutting down its Milan offices, and moving all its
activities to a manufacturing district called Osmannoro in Sesto
Fiorentino, near Florence.
The firm earlier announced it is parting ways with creative
director Peter Dundas after three seasons. His last Cavalli
collection for spring/summer 2017 was unveiled September 21
during Milan fashion week.
"The brand's stylistic team will continue designing
collections during this time of transition and transformation,"
said CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris, who was appointed last July.
"We will name a new creative director in due time," he
added.
