The Italian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Carlo Baldocci inaugurated at the Italian Visa Centre in Riyadh a desk expressly dedicated to all business missions of the Saudi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and its members in Italy. Similar openings of desks reserved for the Saudi Federation will take place by May in Jeddah and June in Dammam, at the respective Italian Visa Centres.
The decision came about following a meeting between Ambassador Baldocci and H.E. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which took place on the eve of the departure of a Saudi business delegation for a mission to Milan and Turin, which is currently underway.
'This is an important step,' said the ambassador, 'destined to contribute more and more to fortifying the extraordinary relationship between Italian and Saudi business, particularly with a view to strategic partnership. This is a concrete gesture intended to accompany the expansion of economic and commercial exchanges between Italy and Saudi Arabia as a result of a growing interest, which has also matured following the Prime Minister's visit and the raising of bilateral relations to a strategic level. Businessmen and businesswomen from the Federation will have a fast channel to come to Italy because this is precisely the message we intend to give: we must act," Ambassador Baldocci concluded.
