+Europa MP Benedetto Della Vedova
said Thursday he was going to report farmers group Coldiretti
President Ettore Prandini over a scuffle outside the Italian
premier's office at Palazzo Chigi in Rome earlier in the day
during demonstrations for and against a bill banning synthetic
meat heading for final approval by parliament.
Police had to intervene to stop pushing and shoving after
Prandini reportedly squared up to Della Vedova and his party
leader Riccardo Magi, calling them "criminals" in their
opposition to the ban.
Della Vedova and Magi accused Prandini of "fascist thuggery".
