Serie A's sporting judge on Tuesday
ruled that Udinese will have to play a home match behind closed
doors after some of their fans racially abused AC Milan keeper
Mike Maignan in the match between the teams in Udine on
Saturday.
The statement said that the abuse took place "on several
occasions during the match" and caused it to be suspended twice,
emphasizing the "gravity" of what happened.
A 46-year-old known criminal from the province of Udine got a
five-year police DASPO stadium ban for shouting "sh**ty n**ger"
12 times at Maignan.
The man was the first of the many offending Udinese fans to have
been identified.
Udinese has said it will ban the fans involved for life.
