King Charles said in the historic
first address by a British monarch to the Italian parliament
Wednesday that Italy and the UK were together at Ukraine's side
and together in NATO.
"Great Britain and Italy are united in the defense of democratic
values," he told a joint session at Montecitorio.
"Our countries have both been alongside Ukraine in times of
need, our armed forces are side by side in NATO.
"We are infinitely grateful for the role of Italy that hosts key
NATO bases and leads numerous operations abroad".
