Dozens of people demonstrated
today in front of the Polish Embassy in Sarajevo demanding that
authorities in Warsaw arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu when he pays a visit to Poland in the coming days.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest
warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav
Gallant, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity in
the armed conflict in Gaza. 'Arrest Netanyahu', 'No amnesty for
war criminals', 'With the victims, not with the criminals',
'Against genocide' - some of the inscriptions on placards and
banners displayed by demonstrators. Netanyahu plans to travel to
Poland on Jan. 27 for memorial ceremonies dedicated to Holocaust
Remembrance Day on the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi
death camp Auschwitz on Jan. 27, 1945.
