Europe will "go to the slaughter
in America" if a NATO secretary general asks to extend NATO's
military umbrella to Ukraine while many Alliance members do not
pay "their share," resulting in the Americans being the only
ones to pay, said Donald Trump's special envoy, Richard Grenell,
during a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos with NATO
secretary general Mark Rutte. Grenell criticised Rutte, citing
the Netherlands, where the secretary general is from, as one of
the countries that "do not pay enough."
