Franco Dal Mas, Secretary General
of the Central European Initiative (CEI), met with Croatia's
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlić-Radman,
in Zagreb yesterday to discuss the organization's priorities and
strengthen dialogue on key issues for the Central-Eastern Europe
and the Balkans' stability. The meeting focused on the current
geopolitical situation, which necessitates an increasingly
united Europe, and how the Western Balkan countries' European
integration process fits into this framework. The meeting
stressed the important political role of regional cooperation in
achieving peace and stability, particularly through concrete
initiatives.
