Italy's Simone Bolelli and Andrea
Vavassori, the third seeds, beat the pairing made up of Swede
Andre Goransson and Dutchman Sem Verbeek 2-6 6-3 6-4 on Thursday
to reach the men's doubles final of the Australian Open for the
second consecutive year.
"We will take part in this second consecutive final more
mentally prepared," said Bolelli.
"Last year it was a totally unexpected.
"We were 50th in the world and we were almost knocked out of the
tournament straight away.
"It was very emotional and we didn't know how to best manage the
difficulties we had in store.
"This time we will certainly be more ready".
It will be Vavassori's fourth Grand Slam final as he also
reached the final of the French Open with Bolelli last year and
won the mixed doubles at the 2024 US Open with Sara Errani.
"The experience gained in this type of match will certainly help
me, especially in terms of mental management," Vavassori said.
The Italian pairing won four ATP titles last year and said they
are aiming to emulate Jannik Sinner and get to the top of the
world rankings.
