The Italian Ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, hosted the military delegation of the Vittorio Veneto Division at the Italian Residence to express his appreciation for the high level of professionalism demonstrated during the NATO Georgia 2025 exercise held in Krtsanisi from 28 April to 8 May at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre.
The exercise saw the participation of Georgian defence forces and 16 Alliance member and partner countries (Italy, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova and Tunisia).
The Vittorio Veneto Division in Florence, as Land Component Command of the Allied Reaction Force as of 1 July 2025, acted as High Control (Hicon), contributing to the training of the 1st Georgian Brigade. Of the 19 Italian officers and non-commissioned officers and graduates involved, three integrated with the Georgian Brigade Command.
The Nato Georgia 2025 exercise was organised as part of the Substantial Nato-Georgia Package (Sngp) for the first time in 2016 and is now in its fourth edition.
