The Milan bourse closed 3.41% down Tuesday amid US tariff fears with the FTSE-Mib index falling to 37,736 points.
Big losers included Stellantis, down 10.1%, STM, off 8.3%, and IVECO, which shed 7.7%.
London closed 1.27% down, Paris 1.85% down and Frankfurt 3.54% down as energy, auto and bank stocks were hit by the tariff impact fears.In New York the Dow Jones was 1.26% down, the Nasdaq 1.06% down and the S&P 500 1.14% down.The latter saw 3.4 trillion dollars go up in smoke as it shed all its post Trump election gains.
The US president is set to hit Europe after raising tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico.
