At least 34 inmates have been killed
since February 2015 at Tripoli's Mittiga prison run by Najeem
Osema Almasri Habish and 22 people, including a five-year-old
child, have been sexually abused by guards, the International
Criminal Court said in its the arrest warrant for the Libyan
police chief.
Almasri is suspected of crimes against humanity and war crimes,
including murder, torture, rape and sexual violence.
The ICC judges allege that he "beat, tortured, shot, sexually
assaulted and personally killed detainees, as well as ordered
the guards to beat and torture them".
